2026 TX BM Community Truck

Survival Guide

Welcome to the Texas Burning Man Community Truck! Need to get gear from Texas (Austin, Houston, Dallas) to Burning Man and back? We're here to help.

The truck transports gear like tents, shiftpods, ice chests, bikes (without e-bike batteries), 27-gallon totes, a/c units and basically what you need at the burn. We do not transport anything fragile, illegal, WATER (too heavy), generators, and anything else the DOT considers hazardous. Read the Packing section!

What to Expect
1
Fill out the Interest Form

This form estimates how much space you will need. We use this info to determine pricing and whether we have enough participation.

2
Fill out the Registration Form

The Registration Form will be emailed to you when registration opens. This is where you enter your final cubic feet needed.

3
Pay for your space

Your reservation is not confirmed until you pay. The truck is first come, first served. Pay promptly to guarantee your space.

4
Prepare your containers

Pack and label your belongings correctly. See the Packing guide for details on bins, labeling, and what to avoid.

5
Load your gear on and off the truck

You must be able to load and unload your own belongings in Texas and on playa. If you cannot, designate a trustworthy friend.

Volunteer!

The community truck is not a paid service — it's a community of volunteers working together. Without volunteers, the truck doesn't happen. We need help in each city and on the playa for planning, organization, and on-site loading. The more volunteers we get, the quicker everything gets done. We promise it goes by fast and you meet a lot of great dusty people along the way!
