Welcome to the Texas Burning Man Community Truck! Need to get gear from Texas (Austin, Houston, Dallas) to Burning Man and back? We're here to help.
The truck transports gear like tents, shiftpods, ice chests, bikes (without e-bike batteries), 27-gallon totes, a/c units and basically what you need at the burn. We do not transport anything fragile, illegal, WATER (too heavy), generators, and anything else the DOT considers hazardous. Read the Packing section!

The Interest Form estimates how much space you will need. We use info from the Interest Form to determine whether we have enough participation in the truck. The more people that use it, the cheaper it is for all! After we close the Interest Form, we will announce the price per cubic foot. The Interest Form will close in early July. The information you put in your Interest Form will be carried over to your Registration Form (Step 3). You will be able to make updates to your Interest or Registration Form at any time before paying for your space.
Volunteers rock! The community truck is not a paid service, is a community of volunteers working together to make it happen. Without volunteers, the truck doesn't happen. We need volunteers in each city and on the playa to lend a helping hand with loading gear on and off the truck, MOOPing, and playing a role in loss prevention. Without volunteers, this truck cannot happen. The more volunteers we get, the quicker everything gets done, and everyone can go home happy knowing their stuff is safely in transit. We promise it goes by fast and you meet a lot of great dusty people along the way! We will announce when volunteer spots open soon.
The Registration Form will open sometime in July. This is where you enter your final cubic feet needed. The truck is first come first served, and your reservation is confirmed only after you pay. Once you pay, your reservation is final. Just like in years' past, we cannot issue refunds.
Your reservation is confirmed once you pay. The truck is first come, first served. If payment is not submitted within 48 hours of submitting your reservation, your reservation is forfeited. Payment is final and we cannot issue refunds.
Pack and label your belongings correctly. See the Packing section for details on bins, labeling, and what to avoid. Prohibited items will be removed from the truck without refund, so read and reread the Packing section!
You must be able to load and unload your own belongings in Texas and on playa. Do not keep your belongings on the truck all week at Burning Man without picking them up. This is how things go missing. We do not allow it. If you cannot pick up or drop off your belongings, designate a trustworthy friend.
Any items that are not picked up upon the truck returning to Texas from the playa will be donated, blown up, or whatever we feel like.
